Neighbourhood watering hole, The Glebe Hotel has been Glebe’s favourite local since 1862. Formerly known as the Australian Youth Hotel, the heritage listed public bar and dining destination is full of quirk, character and charm. Recently renovated by Alexander & Co, The Glebe Hotel offers everything you are looking for in a local pub. With gastro pub fare and a warm welcome, the venue hosts a traditional public bar, private dining in the heritage listed stables & loft, a leafy beer garden and Nude, our dedicated cocktail bar.
Dog Friendly
In case you haven’t heard The Glebe Hotel is proudly dog friendly.
We welcome all four (and three) legged friends in our public bar and beer garden but simply ask that you keep them on a lead. You’ll find doggy bowls of water in the beer garden and a special treat for them behind the bar too.
So now you don’t have to leave your ‘best mate’ at home while you’re out for a drink and a bite to eat.

Pubs have always been a meeting place within a local community. As a pub family we believe it is important to support diversity & inclusivity; it leads to a stronger community.
Our public bar is adorned with archived photos of the venues historic past, neighbouring streets and a colourful mix of locals creating a welcoming space with a strong sense of history and pride for the local Glebe community.
